- Sub: Serial Handler ?
-
- We are just embarking on the construction of a Serial Port Handling Object. We
- have had a look at the Asynchronous Handler that Carl Nelson & Associates
- published on one of the MacApp goodies discs. We are wondering if anyone else
- has any thoughts , comments or observations on the approach that might be most
- fruitful for us to follow to create a general purpose serial handling object,
- equally at home as part of a terminal and as part of a file transfer type
- facility.
-
- In the wider scheme of things it would be nice if what we ended up was an
- Object Hierarchy that incorporated handling of the SCSI port as well. I say
- this since we envision using the SCSI port for the same type of things we're
- using the serial port for right now.
-
- Any thoughts out there ??
-
- Andy.
