  9. We are just embarking on the construction of a Serial Port Handling Object. We
  10. have had a look at the Asynchronous Handler that Carl Nelson & Associates
  11. published on one of the MacApp  goodies discs. We are wondering if anyone else
  12. has any thoughts , comments or observations on the approach that might be most
  13. fruitful for us to follow to create a general purpose serial handling object,
  14. equally at home as part of a terminal and as part of a file transfer type
  15. facility.

  17. In the wider scheme of things it would be nice if what we ended up was an
  18. Object Hierarchy that incorporated handling of the SCSI port as well. I say
  19. this since we envision using the SCSI port for the same type of things we're
  20. using the serial port for right now.
